Sam & Max; Season Two - Review

Sam & Max; Season Two
Ages: Not Rated

Season 2 of Sam & Max has explored so many of our standard tropes - I can't imagine where they can go in Season 3 - but I am sure they will find enough to fill Season 4. Each episode is a complete story adventure, while the host of characters grows providing links to previous episodes. There is running dialog from the designers on the disk if you would like to get some idea how these minds work.

  • Ice Station Santa 201
Tired of all the Xmas - "good will to men" stuff? This Episode makes the "Grinch" look like "Mary Poppins".
  • Moai Better Blues 202
Yes - they go to the Easter Islands, talk to the giant stone heads - do you know they had feet? Great underwater scenes.
  • Night of the Raving Dead 203 Taking a page out of Ann Rice's book - a disco vampire.
  • Chariots of the Dogs 204 It had to finally happen - Space abduction, mariachis in space, and time travel to distant past and far future.
  • What's New Beelzebub? 204
Well - if they can confront Santa - why not the Devil and the whole Hell emporium? Check out Telltale Games website, www.telltalegames.com for all sorts of interesting things.

Fun Factor: One of the most intelligent funny "games" out there.
Female Factor: Sam and Max are the stars but the women are interesting and amusing characters.
Player Friendly: The behind the scenes dialogs are a great addition for the fans.
