The Sims 2 Pets - Review

The Sims 2 Pets
Ages: Everyone

I've played Sims since I've played games, and that means playing the game on the PC. I have a whole library of Sims games and I wondered how would Sims 2 Pets play on the Game Boy, the DS or the Game Cube. Amazingly – they are all different.

The Nintendo DS Sims 2 Pets is the wildest departure from the PC version. It could have just as easily been called Sims 2 Vet. Yes there are pets, and you get to customize your Sim, but your character is a Veterinarian and you start your day as a rank intern. There are all sorts of instruments at your disposal and it's up to you to make the diagnosis. You start with a stethoscope, but if your reputation is good you will be able to purchase an Xray for more extensive diagnosis. The dual screens are a joy, with one showing needs and the touch screen set up for selecting the various options available for your Sim. I think my Sims are happiest here.
