SpongeBob Squarepants and the Creature from the Krusty Krab - Review

SpongeBob Squarepants and the Creature from the Krusty Krab
Ages: Everyone

Nightmares are what move the SpongeBob and the Bikini Bottom dwellers from the ocean bottom and provide the opportunity for adventures in new worlds. It's a clever idea. And so SpongeBob starts out in a racing circuit, winning his license and then having to chase it through funhouse places to retrieve it. The colors and settings are outdone, even by SpongeBob's standards. It seems that every one at the Bottom is having nightmares.

Size reversals, where big things become little and little big, give another opportunity for new play and role reversals. A super sized patty comes alive and goes after Sheldon Plankton, but then Plankton becomes a giant monster (amusing when you know it is a microscopic critter) and seeks revenge. Eventually Starfish and SpongeBob, piloting a fighter plane take down the threatening Plankton. Other dreams provide for unusual settings and even some shooting at asteroids. All the characters have their time in the sun – but SpongeBob is my fave, with the way he moves to the beat and waves back at me.
