The onset of the holiday season, and the flood of games to review makes me short tempered and unforgiving. The Games4Girls web site besides editorial reviews of games has girls review the games. Here are some observations that may have passed under your radar.

Girls are not early adopters Mr. Nintendo. They are still playing with the Game Boy Color and would like games for it. There would be lots more games sold if you made them compatible with both the GBC and the GBA.

The only girls who have the Cube are those with brothers - although is seems to be the console of choice for Christmas.

The only girls who have the Xbox are those with fathers who play games.

For girls, remember most of them are casual gamers, many games are too hard and too long. I believe that a game that is not finished is not a successful game. Think of it as a product like a pair of socks that looks good in the store but when you wear them, slides down to your ankles and bunches into your shoes - toss them. Better still - send them back..

Instead of extending games by making them difficult - to make you feel that you are getting your money's worth- make them replayable with some new areas to be found. This way players can have the feel-good sense of familiarity and accomplishment, while exploring new challenges. Think Pajama Sam - No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside
